The Bronx is Blooming! Debut Presentation

_The Bronx is Blooming!_ Debut Presentation

On October 9th, high school students from around the Bronx presented The Bronx is Blooming!

Students from around the South Bronx collaborated with CUP and Teaching Artist Hugo Rojas to ask who has access to nature in the city? Where is nature in the Bronx? Students used photography, stop motion, and street art to bring these questions to life. They conducted community surveys, interviewed key stakeholders, and used WCS's Visionmaker.nyc to create digital renderings of what nature in the Bronx could look like the future. Students debuted their website at Fannie Lou Hamer Freedom High School where they each shared how their perception of nature in their neighborhood has changed after this project.
